The Green Team works with school administration and staff on establishing sustainable practices so our school community can reduce its carbon footprint. Successful initiatives include:

• Terracycle containers at the school: Terracycle is a recycling company that recycles waste that is not easily recycled. We collected Entenmann’s Little Bites pouches, Go-Go Squeeze pouches (or other flexible plastic snack pouches and caps), and all brands of empty writing instruments, glue sticks, watercolor dispensers, paint sets, and flexible packaging.

• Metal eating utensils to reduce waste

• Separate bins for food waste, recycling, and general waste with signage helping children understand what goes where
