About

What we do

Our goals as a PTO are to enrich the quality of our children’s education, assist our teachers in fulfilling their classroom objectives, and bring together our families and school community through social activities and community events. The PTO uses its resources, both people-power and monetary, to support the efforts of the staff at our school.

The Executive Board organizes regular meetings with our school principal to discuss issues and events, plan fundraisers, and share ideas. It’s also a great opportunity to meet the PTO board and other parents, and get to know our special school just a bit better.

We also organize a host of events throughout the year. Please join our school community on Konstella, where you can see the calendar of events and sign up for reminders and updates from the JPPTO.

Volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer throughout the year, from being a room parent for your child's classroom to helping with various events during the year. Reach out to one of our officers for more information.

  • If you are interested in any of the open positions on the PTO Executive Board, please reach out to Co-Presidents, Kathleen Brennan and Becca Goldman.

  • If you are interested in becoming a class parent, please reach out to VP, School Services, Brooke Cole.

  • There are also many calls for volunteers throughout the year; if you aren’t already, register on Konstella, our parent communications platform, to hear about these opportunities.

Stay Tuned: As your schedule allows, attend monthly PTO meetings to learn about what is going on and share your thoughts. Please introduce yourself to one of our officers. We would love to meet you, hear your thoughts, and yes, occasionally, grab your arm to try and get you more involved!
